Cleo, the new project of architect and creative director Vincent Van Duysen for Molteni&C, is a modular system composed of various rectilinear, angular and free-standing elements that allow for a large number of compositions suitable for any type of apartment. The heart of the project is the frame from which each individual element is made. A harmonious, curvilinear shell, resembling a cozy place that constantly embraces the seat and backrest. The shell, upholstered in fabric or leather, like the seat cushions, provides high comfort.
Possible combinations of different upholstery materials covering the frame and seat cushions can contrast or emphasize the harmony of the two components. The rectangular backrest cushions can be freely arranged to meet all requirements, guaranteeing comfort and allowing for various relaxation positions: from sitting comfortably with a good book or spending time with loved ones, to lying down for a short rest.
Cleo is supported on legs made of made of a thin layer of lacquered steel, designed to make the sofa look like an object floating in the living room and thus become the heart and protagonist, thanks to its easy positioning even in the middle of the room. In addition, Cleo offers rectilinear single frame solutions, suitable for creating a sofa with full and enveloping shapes.
