Belleville Armchair Plastic is a polyamide chair with stackable armrests.
- Seat, base and frame: injection molded polyamide. Up to 6 chairs can be stacked on top of each other. Belleville is a vibrant district of Paris where designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have their studio. Visual references to the Belleville chair can be found in the classic French bistro furnishings and lively atmosphere of this Parisian district. The familiar shape of the chair - even in a contemporary context - may seem obvious at first glance, but it also evokes a sense of mystery and wonder, as the materiality, structure and craftsmanship of the chair only become apparent at second glance.
When combined with tables The Belleville chair and the Belleville armchair form a unified but diverse group - a hybrid family of furniture whose forms and materials are harmoniously coordinated. In this way, chairs and tables - in small or large quantities - can be attractively combined in lively bistros, as well as in elegantly modern galleries or in a variety of home interior styles.
