- Seat shell: through-dyed polypropylene, with armrests. All versions of the HAL armchair are available with seat cushions (attached to the shell with screws).
- Seat shell: mass-dyed polypropylene, with an optional seat cushion (screwed to the seat shell).
- Base: five-star. base made of die-cast aluminum, powder-coated in dark basic color. Swivel mechanism with shock-absorbing seat suspension and height adjustment. HAL is an interpretation of the shell chair by Jasper Morrison, referring to the tradition of the Plastic Chair by Charles and Ray Eames, whose variety of different bases allows for versatile use - from dining tables to conference rooms, from bars to auditoriums. HAL is now also available in the HAL RE version with seat shells made of recycled plastic - as side chairs or armchairs.
The chair bases are available in metal or wood, on wheels as studio models or in tall versions for stools bars and as a beam solution for waiting areas.
These different base options can be combined either with a plastic seat (HAL and HAL RE) or plywood (HAL Ply), or with a lightly padded seat covered with fabric (HAL Soft).
The recycling material for HAL RE comes from the German household waste collection "Yellow Bag" (Gelber Sack), which mainly consists of used packaging. Using this recycled material instead of conventional plastic generates fewer climate-damaging emissions and also significantly reduces energy consumption.
Due to the composition of the recycled material, the different colors are interspersed with tiny spots of pigment. The color white cannot currently be used in the new material and will be introduced as soon as technically possible. The HAL RE seat shell is also 100% recyclable at the end of the product's useful life.
For use in large quantities in auditoriums, multi-purpose rooms, training areas etc., HAL RE can be ordered with stackable bases stackable, optional row connectors and seat numbering elements, as well as a stacking trolley.
The comfort of the pleasantly flexible plastic or wood shells can be further enhanced by adding seat cushions or seat upholstery – or by choosing HAL Soft with full upholstery.
In versions with a plastic shell and powder-coated base, HAL is also suitable for outdoor use.
