Product description
“Pio Manzù had the original idea for Parentiesi. He invented a fixed vertical boom and a cylindrical box with a slot for a lamp that moved up and down: it was locked with a screw. He replaced the boom with a metal string, which, when bent, causes friction and allows the lamp to be placed in the right position without the need to use screws” – Achille Castiglioni. This lamp won the Compasso d'Oro award in 1979. Parentesi is a lamp that provides direct light. The lamp moves vertically by moving a painted or nickel-plated steel pipe along a steel cable connecting the ceiling to the floor (4000 mm long). Luminaire head made of injection-molded black elastomer, housing the switch. Length of the power cord from the socket 4000 mm. Net weight 3 kg. Voltage 220-250 V Power 150 W
