Product description

The slim, elegantly spaced metal legs of the Compas Direction desk by Jean Prouvé bring to mind the tilting arms of a compass - "le compas" in French. Their design is based on engineering principles that characterize the construction approach of the French designer and engineer. Combined with oiled solid wood countertops, they create a richly contrasting mix of materials in a home office.
Materials:
- Countertop: solid wood with an oiled finish; natural oak, smoked oak or American walnut.
- Base: bent steel sheet, powder coated (smooth) finish.
- Wood origin: oak (Quercus robur) from Western Europe and/or Poland; American walnut (Juglans nigra) from the USA.
