Jean, named after Eileen Gray's longtime friend, architect Jean Badovici, stood in various models in his summer villa E 1027. "Each room has one of these tables," wrote Eileen Gray, "which can also sometimes serve as a desk. For fun, you can put all the elements together, unfold them and a small dining table appears, light but absolutely stable. There is nothing more to say.
