Product description
The Euvira rocking chair by Jader Almeida is a masterful combination of yesterday and today, lightness and solidity. With precisely arranged, flowing lines that thicken and narrow to create a pleasant rhythm, the chair is a distinctive expression of contemporary design. At the same time, the selection of materials and their processing refer to the work of great Brazilian design masters from the 1960s and 1970s. Offering all the comfort of a roomy rocking chair, the delicate lines of the furniture and the way the armrests and runners taper towards the center create an airy and elegant impression from every angle.
The rope seat and backrest give the chair a particular lightness and transparency, revealing a fascinating graphic line play, especially when moving. The dark-stained oak version with black cord is the most striking sign of the designer's origins. A chair made of light oak and hemp-colored string looks almost like a classic Scandinavian piece of furniture. Thanks to fabric or leather upholstery, it takes on the appearance of an elegant club armchair. In each version, it freely oscillates between the past and the present, stability and elegance. Euvira has been awarded the IF Product Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award.
Rockchair. Solid oak frame, stained brown or black, clear lacquered. Polyurethane upholstery with rubber tape and fabric or leather covering. The bottom of the skid has (non-slip) felt inserts.
