Product description

D.153.1 is an armchair with a brass structure and velvet cover by Punteggiato designed by Gio Ponti in 1934, in the shades of the Molteni collection. Other upholsteries are also available: two-tone leather and fabrics and leathers from the Molteni collection.
The D.153.1 armchair, designed in 1953, is part of the furnishings of Gio Ponti's private house in via Dezza in Milan. This reissue was produced by Molteni&C based on original drawings from the Ponti archives.
Brass construction, covered in two-tone white and blue leather or "Punteggiato" fabric, designed by Ponti for Rubelli in 1934. The fabric reinterprets the age-old velvet weaving technique, updating it with contemporary patterns such as close sequences of alternating discs of different color gradations. Exhibited at the Salone del Mobile 2012, the D.153.1 chair enriches the Gio Ponti furniture collection.
