Product description

D. 156. 3 is an armchair with a wooden structure and non-removable fabric cover.
Designed by Gio Ponti and manufactured for the American company Altamira founded by the nephew of the Spaniard De Cuevas, it was exhibited in the company's showroom in New York, together with Ico Parisi furniture , Franco Albini, Carlo De Carli, Ignazio Gardella and others, selected from the most representative exhibitors of the 10th Triennial in Milan. Molteni&C re-examines its history with an eye to the future. The 80!Molteni exhibition, the creation of the company's historical archive and the recently inaugurated Molteni Museum have created an opportunity for a rebirth from the beginnings of modernity.
Intriguing traces have emerged from the past that turn out to be contemporary, ripe for rethinking today. Unique works that can come straight from museum display cases and find their way into our modern homes.
