Product description
Madame Mathieu-Levy's apartment on Rue de Lota in Paris was considered one of the most sensational examples of French interior design in the 1920s. Eileen Gray created the decor for five years. It featured black and silver lacquered wall panels and a sumptuous living room in the shape of a dugout canoe. Another such gem was the Lota sofa with lush pillows and multi-colored, lacquered sides. Eileen Gray liked it so much that she later made another one for her own home.
Sofa. Padded beech frame with spring interior. MDF side boxes, colorfully varnished to a high gloss, mounted on black plastic wheels. Loose seat cushion with natural down filling. Loose back and side pillows filled with natural down and stabilizers. Cover in fabric or leather.
