After a long day of harvest, the grapes, arranged in a tub, were pressed by the light of a candle placed at the bottom of the barrel. The candle was used to illuminate the cellar, but also served as a warning in case the gases released during the fermentation of the must exceeded the danger level.
This memory, related to the Karman tradition, became the inspiration for Bacco, a battery table lamp in the shape of a wine bottle designed by Matteo Ugolini to create a delicate atmosphere while enjoying a bottle of good wine.
The white frosted glass shade houses a 250 lumen LED on a removable aluminum base that houses the on/off switch and charging mechanism. In groups of six, Bacco can be carried anywhere in the Perbacco metal basket, which is reminiscent of the vintage tin baskets of old. Place one on the tables in your bar or restaurant; scatter them here and there or move them as you like. Bacco is wireless and after charging it works for 6 hours.
