Built to be adaptable, light and strong, pyramid tables are the last word in cut sheet steel construction. The collection, originally created by Wim Rietveld while working at Ahrend in the 1950s, has been reissued by HAY together with Ahrend. When first introduced to the market in the 1950s, it was considered a triumph of innovative use of sheet steel, marking a new direction for use in organic-shaped products. Today, both as individual pieces and as a collection, they are distinguished by the economical use of materials, simplified construction and ease of movement. These durable designs are characterized by functional excellence and aesthetic lightness that have proven themselves in real conditions for several generations. This variant of the Pyramid table has a sheet steel base and a rectangular oak top to create a functional and uncluttered look. The lightweight, stackable design and durable quality make it suitable for use in educational institutions, corporate environments and private homes. Available in various wood finishes and base colors.
