Built to be adaptable, light and strong, pyramid tables are the last word in cut sheet steel construction. The collection, originally created by Wim Rietveld while working at Ahrend in the 1950s, has been reissued by HAY together with Ahrend. When first introduced to the market in the 1950s, it was considered a triumph of innovative use of sheet steel, marking a new direction for use in organic-shaped products. Today, both as individual pieces and as a collection, they are distinguished by the economical use of materials, simplified construction and ease of movement. These durable designs are characterized by functional excellence and aesthetic lightness that have proven themselves in real conditions for several generations. The clean design and durable quality make it suitable for use in a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. Available in a variety of wood finishes and base colors.
MATERIAL
Tabletop: 21 mm thick solid oak with straight edge.
Frame: 4 x leg sections made of 2 mm thick bent steel sheet.
The tabletop is available in 4 different tabletop finishes:
- Solid, clear lacquered oak
- Solid oak, matt lacquered
- Solid oiled smoked oak
- Solid oiled oak
Available in 3 different frame finishes:
- Powder-coated steel in black (RAL 9005)
- Powder-coated steel in beige (NCS S 3502 – Y)
- Powder-coated steel in tomato red color (RAL 3013).
