Product description

Built to be adaptable, lightweight and strong, Pyramid benches are the last word in cut-sheet steel construction. The collection, originally created by Wim Rietveld while working at Ahrend in the 1950s, has been reissued by HAY together with Ahrend. When first introduced to the market in the 1950s, it was considered a triumph of innovative use of sheet steel, marking a new direction for use in organic-shaped products. Today, both as individual pieces and as a collection, they are distinguished by the economical use of materials, simplified construction and ease of movement. These durable designs are characterized by functional excellence and aesthetic lightness that have proven themselves in real conditions for several generations. This bench variant has a sheet steel base with a rectangular oak top and has the same functional and clean look as the rest of the Pyramid collection. The bench's lightweight, stackable and durable quality make it suitable for use in educational institutions and corporate environments. Available in a variety of wood finishes and base colors, it can be used as a low side table or as a bench.
Tabletop: 21 mm thick solid oak with straight edge.
Base: 2 x bent steel leg section with 2 mm thick cutout.
1 x support (steel tube and bent steel 2 mm thick) - mounted under the countertop)
Available in 4 different countertop finishes:
- Solid oak, colorless lacquered
- Solid oak, matt lacquered
- Solid smoked oak, oiled
br />- Oiled solid oak
Available in 3 different base finishes:
- Black powder-coated steel (RAL 9005)
- Beige powder-coated steel (NCS S 3502 – Y)
- Tomato red powder coated steel (RAL 3013).
