Creative director Vincent Van Duysen redesigned the dining room with a stunning new table: Mateo. Recognized for his ability to create objects with a lasting character while maintaining a clean, refined aesthetic, Van Duysen demonstrates this skill to great effect with this new dining table.
The table is set on a curved base that expands slightly as it descends, providing stability and solidity while adding a touch of the unexpected. The conical base is available in two versions - round and oval - allowing for seamless integration into the existing space.
The designer's architectural background is evident in the Mateo structure. The internal frame is integrated with a lacquered metal bar that is not visible from the outside, strengthening the connection between the base and the tabletop, ensuring complete stability.
Available in a wide range of sizes, heights and configurations to suit a variety of family and group compositions, the table has been designed to be the centerpiece of creating traditions that last decades.
The 74 cm high round edition is available in sizes 140 cm, 160 cm, 180 cm and 200 cm, while the oval version is available in sizes 220 cm and 250 cm. The 64cm tall lounge version is available in 140cm and 160cm sizes.
Unique finishes, from sporty wood to glossy lacquer and colors such as rich pine green and soothing almond white, offer customizable options that suit a variety of space. Additionally, the new oak wood option provides a warm character combined with durability.
The Mateo table rediscovers the concept of a dining room in a contemporary home. Scalable proportions combine with pure aesthetics to create a timeless item meant to be the center of many years of memories.
