Product description
The simple and elegant shape of a traditional lantern lampshade, the contemporary Nelson Lantern Bubble pendant light hangs delicately overhead with a 1.8 meter cord and ceiling plate. George Nelson designed Bubble lamps in 1952. He was inspired by a set of Swedish hanging lamps, which were painstakingly made and covered with silk. However, their high price was a bigger challenge. Nelson decided to create his own set and developed an innovative process that replaced the silk lampshade with translucent plastic.
