The handle is made of AISI 316 stainless steel, a non-corrosive material that is resistant to years of use. Danish architect and industrial designer Knud Holscher has been part of d line from the beginning, creating our first coordinated line of architectural fittings in 1971 as "modest design that was designed to last." As a result of this frustrating exercise, Holscher designed a series of award-winning, minimalist architectural fittings for d line, starting with the iconic U and L levers, whose distinctive curve influenced the entire product range.
