SURF is a modular sofa with a removable fabric cover.
Canadians George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, versatile players in the world of architecture, design and graphics since 1980, have just designed Surf, a modular sofa system for Molteni&C, after their debut with Dada in 2006, with the futuristic design of Lisola. Thanks to their experience in the hospitality industry and the study of the nature of organic forms beyond traditional approaches, Yabu Pushelberg designed seating, unrestrained by the constraints of excessive modularity and rich in unexpected details. Perfect for residential or hospitality projects such as hotels or offices.
Seating in one set with base, with rounded shapes providing comfortable, slightly protruding backrests, are the features that make Surf a design that is not only perfect ergonomically, but also visually attractive.
This excellent result is the result of the use of diversified polyurethane foam technology. Ingeniously designed rectilinear elements, chaise longues, corners and ends, partially without backrests, make it possible to create many compositions suitable for all kinds of situations, maintaining the freshness and originality of the design in each.
A wide selection of textiles and leather materials selected from the Molteni&C collection even more emphasize the uniqueness of Surf. Surf is also an elegant little 'dumb waiter' table, with a marble base and wooden top along with a small handle for easy portability, perfect for keeping everything within reach when sitting on a comfy sofa.
