Product description

The basic concept of the Table tube d'avion, presented in 1929 at the Salon d'Automne, is to distinguish between a supporting element and a supported element; in other words, between the base and the top. The separation of the two parts is emphasized by four intermediate supports, which serve both as level regulators and spacers between the mass of the support and the slim lines of the tabletop. In particular, the base was designed in 1928, echoing the oval profiles used in the aerospace sector to separate the wings of biplanes. The current model is also available in an outdoor version with stainless steel construction and a textured powder-coat finish specifically for outdoor use, in five colors. Cassina designs complete, comfortable and inviting living spaces where the most innovative products of contemporary design coexist with icons of the great masters of the modern movement.
