The craft factory grew out of the traditional Ćostović carpentry shop, which transferred all its love for wood and 50 years of experience in woodworking to it. Artisan specializes in the manual production of high-quality solid wood furniture, and it is this focus on handcrafted work that distinguishes us. We gained our first experience by producing furniture for Dutch and British designers, and we started our first collection in cooperation with regional designers in 2007. Since then, our goal has been to confirm the philosophy that guides us with each collection, each piece of wood, with the vision of each designer and the careful touch of craftsmen.

We love wood because we know it all the time. life. From the forest where we played as children, to the vocation to which we gave our adulthood.

Process & lt; br / & gt; We treat walnut, cherry, pear, elm and acacia wood only with superheated steam to obtain the perfect color with an accentuated texture without compromising the structure and ecological value of the wood.

Wood treated in a way, like oak, ash and maple wood, it is prepared for natural drying in covered, ventilated warehouses in carefully selected geographical locations, best suited for natural drying, until reaching a critical level of moisture, suitable for further drying in computer controlled chambers operating in systems conventional and vacuum systems with the use of the most modern software for wood drying.

The wood dried in this way is stored in conditions identical to the living conditions of the people for whom the furniture is made.

Then the selection is made wood from the warehouse and its cutting to the desired lengths and widths, machining and gluing In planks, drying and acclimatization.

Thanks to precise machining, the wood is then prepared for the assembly of the final product, cutting and trimming of finished boards or components in the traditional way and with the help of a 5-axis CNC machine from Homag.

The final stages of production are assembly and finishing works.

For finishing works we use natural oils, soaps, waxes and varnishes.

These substances are mutually acceptable, i.e. they can be applied together on a given surface.

The use of these substances (or a combination of the same) on dried wood ensures longer life, preserves its naturalness and improves the visual features of the wood - color, texture, etc. .
