The spread-legged table is a remarkable example of George Nakashima's talent for synthesizing traditional influences and modern simplicity. Featuring low-gloss finishes that enhance the natural grain, the table showcases Nakashima's sensitivity to nature and his legendary craftsmanship.
FEATURES
Natural gloss finishes and vibrant wood grain patterns - American walnut and hickory - elements Nakashimas embody the designer and his craftsmanship.
CONSTRUCTION
The table top is made of veneer with an inverted, fitted cathedral pattern, matched to solid wood edges in a transparent, low-gloss finish.
Leg top , apron and edge details are made of solid American walnut, while the mortise and tenon joints have solid brass hardware. Guides are nylon.
Tray tops are solid Douglas fir with a clear, low-gloss finish.
FINISHES
Hickory and American walnut table with American walnut edge detail.
The tray is available in Douglas fir and Brazilian Santos or Douglas fir and wenge.
