Sangaku is a round coffee table with round steel and glass tops.
Sangaku is a fun game of intersections, rotations and dimensional changes. In Japanese culture, Sangaku are geometric problems carved on wooden tablets, which in most cases illustrate problems involving inscribing circles and ellipses into one another. This gave rise to the idea of inscribing four different circles, two with a radius of 40 cm and two with a radius of 20 cm, into an imaginary circle with a diameter of 50 cm, creating a new element governed by invisible but nevertheless palpable geometric relationships. The points of intersection of individual elements become the legs supporting four different tabletops, which skillfully fill and diversify the space, creating a perfect mix of solids and empty spaces.
Features:
A small table composed of four round tabletops overlapping each other in two diameters 82 and 42 cm. The "geometric" design of the table is based on circles inscribed between them to obtain total dimensions of 100x82 cm and a height of 41 cm. Circular structure supporting 20mm diameter steel tube tops and 12mm diameter steel bar vertical support members, all polyester powder coated, with blue, green, yellow and anthracite finishes. Countertops made of steel sheet with a diameter of 42 cm. to match the colors of the structure. The lower shelf is made of 6mm sheet metal. extremely transparent glass with a diameter of 82 cm. decorated with digital printing in four different graphics matching the colors of the structure. Tabletop in extremely clear laminated glass, 3 + 3 mm thick, diameter 82 cm, digitally printed in gray gradient. For indoor use only.
