Product description
Thanks to the precision of its contours, Serenissimo translates the table concept into a graphic composition with four columns and a horizontal steel bar that makes the table top appear to be floating in the air. Following the original design by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, it is an object that expresses itself through its geometry and materials: basic shapes characterized by a metallic finish or delicate encaustic tones. StructureThe structure consists of 4 cylindrical bases (ø 28 cm) made of tubular steel, painted in brown or orbital brown or, in the more tactile Encausto variations, in terracotta, green and white colors. The metal frame connecting the 4 bases and supporting the top is painted mica gray. Countertop Countertops are available in a square or rectangular version and in the following finishes:_ transparent glass, float glass plate characterized by transparency. 15mm thick;_ extra clear opal glass, float glass plate with smooth and shiny upper side, acid etched lower side. Thickness 15 mm;_ cast glass, hot-formed glass plate with smooth and shiny upper side, wrinkled (for casting) and translucent bottom lacquered on the back, in the colors: black, mustard yellow, English green, pink. Thickness 15 mm;_ lacquered, frosted white glass, float glass plate with acid-etched upper side (silky touch effect) and lacquered lower side on the back. Thickness 15 mm. Encausto: Also known as "Venetian stucco", encausto uses a highly refined technique in which fine-grained sand plaster is applied in successive layers, the last of which is colored with natural earth. At this stage, a liquid lime mixture is used to burn off the color, changing as it dries (in fact, "encausto" is a Latin term derived from the Greek word "enkaustikos" meaning "to burn"). In the "tallocciatura" phase, which refers to the process of manually smoothing the plaster through the skillful use of a spatula, the colored mixture is unevenly incorporated into the plaster, giving the surface the characteristic look of this ancient craft tradition.
