Ascent back is a modular, multi-layered wooden bench.
Ascent Back
This single-sided version of the Ascent bench and its open back makes it easy to design around walls and fit in with other structures. Ascent offers an alternative to long rows of side seats and provides more seats per square meter in the same space. Each installation has the potential to create place, introducing soft contours and warm textures that create a sense of place while enhancing the surroundings. The warmth of natural wood resonates in large interiors, making public spaces feel warmer and more inviting.
Ascent Back 200
The Ascent Back 200 is 2000 mm wide and provides 4 seats.
Ascent Backrest convex 60°/Ascent Backrest Concave 60°
The Ascent Back 60° is a module curved at an angle of 60 degrees and equipped with 2 seats. Note: This module must snap together with other modules to ensure stability.
Ascent Back L End Piece/Ascent Back R End Piece
The Ascent Back Left and Right End Piece Module complements any Ascent Back configuration after left or right side. NOTE: This section cannot be combined with armrests, tables or chargers.
Ascent Armrest
The Ascent Armrest fits between the slats of the Ascent Backrest, Ascent Double Backrest, Ascent Double Bench and Ascent Double Rise Bench. The only position where it doesn't fit is where the two modules connect.
Ascent Charger
The Ascent Charger fits between multiple Ascent Back, Ascent Double Back, Ascent Double Bench and Ascent Double Rise backrest slats. The only position that doesn't fit is where the two modules connect.
Ascent Table
The Ascent Table fits between the Ascent Back, Ascent Double Back, Ascent Double Bench and Ascent Double Rise. It just doesn't fit where the two modules meet.

The series was created in consultation with architects and planners to create a flexible, modular system that can change and adapt as its surroundings evolve. Designed with place-making in mind, Ascent's soft contours, smooth textures and sustainable wood make the interiors of public spaces warmer and more welcoming.
Ascent received the 2021 Red Dot Award for Product Design.
