Product description
Mathilda is a stool with a backrest. Seat and backrest upholstered with flame-retardant, stress-resistant polyurethane foam of various densities on an ash frame; Raffia wrapped back is also available. The junction of the arms and legs is covered with fabric or leather bands; the arms and legs are made of ash or oak and available in various finishes. The covers cannot be removed. An everyday object, a shape easily recognizable from our collective memory, which is why it seems familiar, there is something similar about it. Mathilda is a modern project in the architectural sense, in the proportions of the whole and the detail. The concept is simple, perfect for the intended use: two trestles that provide solidity and affinity, hold the seat and provide support for the backrest, while also allowing the chairs to be stacked. Thoughtful and careful intuition keeps the design current and creates a seating system that is coherent, practical and immediately recognizable.
