Product description

Fontal is a dining chair whose structure is made of peeled and dyed natural rattan with a diameter of 32 mm. Finished with a three-stage coating (dye, base layer and top layer) characterized by high resistance to solar radiation thanks to UV filters. Seat upholstery made of natural or artificial leather, virgin wool fabrics, velvet and polypropylene. Protective covers with removable plastic felt inserts. “This project was born from the desire to recover rattan as a noble material and restore the rich craftsmanship tradition of our country. I tried to give a new look to an ancient technique, replacing the locks and ties traditionally used as connecting elements, by connecting one cane to another. Thanks to this innovative solution, we obtained a strong, flexible and light structure. In this way, Fontal is evolving into a warm, friendly and luxurious place in the true sense of the word.”
