Inspired by his iconic Archibald chair, winner of the Wallpaper* Award in the "Best Home Design" section in 2009, Jean-Marie Massaud creates another small masterpiece: a dining chair of impeccable elegance.
The Archibald dining chair is sculpted, clean and modern, softened by a sartorial touch visible in every detail, such as the sumptuous folds on the inside of the leather-upholstered backrest. Or an understated shirt collar armrest that's been slightly flared for a casual feel that's both thoughtful and undeniably elegant. Or noble contrasting stitching that discreetly and skillfully emphasizes the curved line of the back and profiles.
The latest addition to the Archibald collection, which burst onto the scene ten years ago as a contemporary take on the classic English bath chair, the new Archibald dining chair offers all the comfort of the rest of the collection but with an elegant, more casual charm that makes it especially eclectic and ideal both for contemporary spaces and, conversely, for more classic interiors.
The shell and armrests of the Archibald dining chair are made of molded rigid polyurethane, and the inner lining consists of soft molded polyurethane and polyester wadding. The frame, also padded with polyurethane foam and wadding, is made of birch plywood. Flexible springs. The 4-legged base is made of solid ash in Wenge or Moka color and has a choice of felt pads or protective guides at the ends of the legs. It can be upholstered with leather or Pelle Frau® fabric. The leather version is decorated with contrasting stitching.
