Tortello presents itself as a monolithic sofa that impresses with its spacious, soft and cozy shapes. Just as the name leaves no room for imagination, the design is striking. Tortello consists of several unexpected elements. The supporting structure, a type of tray with a trapezoidal base, is rotationally molded from recycled polyethylene. The whole is complemented by an elastomeric mattress on which a foamed upper element is placed, i.e. a soft volume covered with fabric, characterized by a specific profile thanks to "squeezed" seams. Tortello prides itself on responsible production using the latest technologies and state-of-the-art materials. Circularity and recycling are at the heart of this new collection, starting with a second-life polyethylene structure to which elements of polyurethane foam and thermoplastic elastomers are added that define its geometry and comfort. Softness is guaranteed by a number of targeted design solutions, even though the amount of polyurethane used is minimal. The selection of materials and construction techniques that allow the assembly of structural elements without the use of glue or adhesives means that Tortello can be completely dismantled and, therefore, easily recycled.
