Product description

B30i is a bar stool with chrome-plated tubular steel supports and a footrest from Tecta. A piece of furniture on whose curved frame people looking for rest could almost fly. In 1978, Axel Bruchhäuser (among others) of Tecta, in collaboration with Mart Stam, Marcel Breuer and Jean Prouvé, began further development of this legless design from the 1920s. The aim was to increase the strength in the compromised section of the steel pipe. Following the constructive "tube aplati" concept that Jean Prouvé had been using since 1924, Axel Bruchhäuser received a German patent in 1987 and a European patent in 1990 for a stackable "tube aplati" cantilever chair . Currently, the Tecta cantilever chair is a classic, an icon and a trademark at the same time.
