Product description

He taught Max Frisch, knew Otto Dix, Paul Klee and Max Liebermann and designed a special chair: William Dunkel, later professor of architecture at ETH Zurich, designed the D15 chair for Tecta in the 1960s. Tecta carefully adapted the chair to contemporary ergonomic needs and translated it into a modern design.
Each seat is hand-woven in Lauenförde. Other materials are also exclusively "Made in Germany", such as the durable and tear-resistant polypropylene weave produced exclusively for Tecta in a medium-sized company in the Sauerland region. Precision, cantilever-quality steel tubes are bent, ground and surface treated at a specialist metalworking company.
The result is D43, a chair traditionally crafted but equipped with contemporary comfort. A piece of furniture that reflects the poetry of modernity, but skillfully combines it with the needs of the present.
Frame: steel pipe, chrome-plated or powder-coated (black)
Seat and backrest: polypropylene, cushions
