David Adjaye's cantilever chairs establish an interplay between support and balancing, making them both functional and sculptural. Washington Skin™ is a colorful block, while its inverted counterpoint, Washington Skeleton™, is reduced to a fine geometric grid sharing the same envelope.

The Washington Collection for Knoll, David Adjaye's first furniture collection, transforms its architectural and sculptural vision into accessible objects for home and office. Two cantilever chairs – Washington Skeleton™ and Washington Skin™ – establish an interplay between support and balance, making them both functional and sculptural.
CONSTRUCTION
Injection molded, fiberglass reinforced nylon cantilever chair. The chair shell and legs are cast in three parts and connected using mortise and tenon joinery and stainless steel connectors. The unique leg design is internally reinforced with a cast aluminum brace covered with nylon. The chair has four integrated covers that raise and protect the profile of the legs.
FINISHES
The chair is available in three UV-resistant colors: black, red and white.
*The nylon chair is not suitable for outdoor use.
