David Adjaye's cantilever chairs establish an interplay between support and balancing, making them both functional and sculptural. The Washington Skeleton is reduced to a delicate geometric grid, while its inverted counterpoint Skin offers a colorful envelope of the same form.
FEATURES
Two cantilevered chairs – the Washington Skeleton™ and the Washington Skin™ – create a play between support and balancing , making them both functional and sculptural.
CONSTRUCTION
Made of die-cast aluminum, the chair's shell and legs are cast in three pieces and connected using mortise and tenon joinery and stainless steel connectors. The chair comes with four nylon pads and is available in three finishes: ultra-durable outdoor powder coating in black, green and gray; The copper finish is also available in a natural state which allows the chair to patina with age.
