Product description

The iconic Scarpa 121 dining chair is a simple dining chair whose design suits both classic and innovative interiors. The design is characterized by a strong and solid wooden frame that creates a striking contrast with the lightness of the seat and backrest. The seat and backrest are anatomically shaped from plywood, covered with fine European leather and screwed to the crossbars along the center, ensuring great comfort. Originally inspired by a sketch made by Tobia's father, the Venetian architect and designer Carlo Scarpa, the 121 came to life with a distinct Afra and Tobia Scarpa touch in 1965.
The 121 Scarpa dining chair was designed together with the classic 925 Scarpa armchair from 1966 year. Both chairs are a perfect example of the work of Afra and Tobia Scarpa and have the same double trestle construction with characteristic rounded joints. Both designs are now part of the Karakter collection.
