Product description

Massolo is a block of "real-false" porphyry that emphasizes irony and love for surrealism, which has always been one of the hallmarks of Gufram's productions. Each Massolo is a unique piece, handcrafted by rough hewing a block of polyurethane onto which 12 layers of dripping paint in 8 different colors are applied to achieve the desired color and shine. The PORFIDO label on the surface - also handmade - enhances its surrealism.

Tea table made of soft polyurethane, finished and decorated with a handmade Guflak.
DID YOU KNOW that
1. Represents a block of shiny rock extracted in a quarry.
2. It is the only porphyry block that is... soft because it is made of polyurethane.
3. Even though it is perfectly similar to a rock, it weighs only 13 kilograms and can be moved very easily.
4. To achieve the rock effect, the entire polyurethane block is rough-cut by hand.
5. For this reason, each Massolo is a unique piece.
6. the glossy surface effect is achieved by applying 12 layers of paint in 8 different colors.
7. It was designed by the artist Piero Gilardi, representative of Arte Povera.
8. The Schaudepot from the Vitra campus is preserved in one piece. The Iconical collection presents those works that interpret, keep alive and pulsate the profane spirit of radical design. These are masterpieces of Italian design that have already become a part of the collective imagination, as well as new native sculptures that - in terms of language and identity - show a selective affinity with products exhibited in the most important museums in the world.
