Product description

Rpbw is a contract armchair with armrests made of QM, available in fabric or leather upholstery. The seat element has a plinth at the bottom. For the upholstery, 3 12 mm thick plywood bodies were made, 2 for the armrests and one for the seat and backrest. The bodies are made of QM foam and Dacron. All 3 elements are upholstered in the same fabric. After covering, the 3 bodies are connected together. Plywood finished with black felt on the bottom. The base is attached with legs at the bottom. The furniture from the RPBW collection was created as a result of a long design process in close cooperation between Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris and SDC_lab. As a result, several standard elements were created, but many non-standard elements were also designed for the SNCFF project in Athens, which has been open to the public since 2017. The intention was to design seating elements that would blend perfectly into different settings.
