Form and function are packed into one unique D1 Low design. The result is an iconic chair with a revolutionary mechanism that provides a completely new sitting experience. Dondola® 4D technology allows the upper part of the chair to move in four axes while sitting, so it always follows the natural movements of the sitting person. This new technical principle leads to a larger radius of movement and thus to a new type of dynamic seating. If you sit a lot, you need a lot of exercise. Just a theory for now. In practice, there is often too little time to compensate for a stiff posture at the desk. Design can make a significant contribution to well-being in the workplace, shows Wagner Living. The D1 by Stefan Diez is a logical further development of the three-dimensional, movable seat joint of the Dondola and incorporates it into the complete design lexicon of the chair family. From a swivel chair, through a lounge chair, to a standing aid - it is united by a unified product language. Thanks to the new type of storage compartments, a new level of seating has been created: regardless of the seat, the backrest gains pleasant freedom of movement. In addition, the radius of lateral action increases at the desk. Unknown flexibility enables a new sitting experience. Wagner Living talks about "sitting in the fourth dimension".
Moritz Wagner invented the tavern chair in 1949 - a simple and extremely durable wooden classic. The chair's function to support the user's well-being, whether in the living room or in the catering industry, has been an important aspect of development from the very beginning. Today, brothers Peter and Rainer Wagner lead the Wagner brand into the future. With the further development of the Dondola three-dimensional movable seating joint, Wagner Living has set a milestone in its history.
The D1 office chair and D1 low chair by Stefan Diez are a logical further development of the three-dimensional movable seat joint of the Dondola® and carry this into the full design language of the chair family. The new type of storage created another dimension of seating, thanks to which today we can already talk about seats in the fourth dimension. “With our vision of a chair that moves the world, we turned to Stefan Diez and found in him a designer who understood from the beginning that the development of the D1 chair family was much more than just design. The main approach is "being well", which for WAGNER only comes into being when design and movement are in harmony," says Peter Wagner, responsible for product and marketing.
