Xavier is a sofa upholstered in leather or fabric, with a platform base and backrest, trapezoidal upholstered armrests, and an inner shell made of solid wood, poplar and beech plywood. Seat cushions made of polyurethane, memory® foam and feathers. Backrest cushions
with herringbone finish made of polyurethane and feathers. Also available with a "board" armrest and backrest in wood upholstered in leather, fabric or woven leather with structural and decorative elements in solid satin brass with engraved Visionnaire logo plates, backrest cushions in various sizes in polyurethane and feathers. The side "board" elements are also available with an optional "extension" platform under the armrest by + 24 cm.
Mauro Lipparini, an architect who graduated from Florence in 1980, was the winner of the international design competition Young & Design Milan (1987), International Du Pont Award Köln (Germany, 1988 and 1989) and Good Design® Global Awards (2011).
The inspiration from the 80s and Saporiti is clear. Xavier was born from Mauro Lipparini's approach to architecture and sculptural sense: a geometric alchemy composed of linear, light and volumetric elements that intertwine in harmony.
It is the desire to create a sofa system with an elegant appearance and a strong emotional charge, enter full value comfort, in the name of beauty and uniqueness. The system consists of a platform with supporting elements (armrests/backrest) and cushions, which are articulated with a large compositional variety, both symmetrically and asymmetrically.
The high compositional characteristics of these elements make Xavier a valuable, tailor-made product for the division of the system. Rich modularity combined with an assembly of options combines with a timeless aesthetic language, balancing the rigor of clean and essential signs and respecting tradition in favor of a new, contemporary style. The attention to tailoring details, the refined workmanship of the back cushions, through macroscopic canneté, diagonal quilting and the strong texture of interwoven and non-woven leathers, give a transverse and eclectic aesthetic for formal elegance with non-conformist accents. A scene made of soft and rigid elements for a new way of understanding the sofa, expressing unique and personal suggestions each time in a timeless language.
Finally, the motif of "breath" and nature can be seen in the quilting of the sofa with a cushion that resembles a leaf.
