The 225 cm long Oltremare sofa offers a sweet stylistic landscape and, despite its small dimensions, allows for various seating solutions - some unexpected - all extremely comfortable, making it ideal ergonomics. Its seat is soft and the backrest, although stiff at first glance, is actually very friendly. The "Oltremare" seating furniture collection designed by Antonio Marras and produced in collaboration with Saba comes from a distant past and a place full of history, memories, memories filled with suggestions and visions. Observing its sinuous silhouette, which emphasizes its Sardinian origin, you can even see the familiar headland and a small island, a part of the coast that in ancient times separated from the mainland.
The sofa can accompany us on the fascinating journey of our lives, "it becomes one of us, a friend who stays with us, is doing so well that he doesn't want to leave.”
And in this way, Antonio Marras presented an object so dear to him that he defines a holy idol that talks about his land, his sea, but above all about its history.
We called it Oltremare because everything has a soul and every soul has a name.
Oltremare is a seating system that, although harking back to the past, conveys a strong contemporary soul and is inherently suitable for a variety of interpretation. It seduces from every angle with its fascinating character, constantly offering a new sense of splendor.
Materials
MDF structure with a plywood base padded with variable density polyurethane foam covered with delicate velvet combined with 150gr/m2 resin.
Legs made of painted metal, height 20 cm.
