Product description

An asymmetric sofa is a sectional sofa consisting of sofas of three different lengths, a corner module, a chaise longue and an ottoman. The planning module enables a variety of layout arrangements, from the typical sofa format to horizontal configurations in which armed, armless and backless elements can be combined to change the horizon line of the furniture and open it to the room.
Materials: Inner frame made of multi-layer plywood ; seat support with a combination of foam and memory foam; shoulder, back and seat cushions made of fiber, feathers and down. Legs in solid walnut, oak or ash.

W81.2cm D81.2cm WW40.5cmDesigner Craig Bassam came up with the BassamFellows asymmetric sofa when he started looking for a stylish, scalable sofa that would be appropriate for his personal office. He wanted a piece of furniture that would harmonize two competing needs - a sofa that would be suitable for joint meetings and, at the same time, suitable for personal contemplation. This thinking led to the creation of Asymmetric, the quintessential group of landscape sofas that achieves an asymmetric or informal balance through closed and open elements that appear divergent but have equal visual weight.
The group consists of sofas of three different lengths, a corner module, a chaise longue and an ottoman. The planning module allows for many layout arrangements, from the typical sofa format to horizontal configurations in which you can combine armed, armless and backless elements to change the horizon line of the furniture and open it to the room.
The dimensions of Asymmetric have been carefully refined to balance comfort with a sense of lightness. The sofa's silhouette emphasizes the horizontal line with one large seat cushion and super-thin armrest panels that house wide, comfortable armrest cushions that also serve as head cushions when reclined. The seat is composed of individually quilted, 8-inch square mini cushions that are stitched together to create a long cushion, ensuring comfort without puddling over time. The impression of buoyancy is further enhanced by blade-like solid wood legs that virtually disappear and allow the furniture to float on the water.
Regardless of the configuration, Asymmetric provides exceptionally comfortable seating. This was achieved thanks to a top layer of feathers and down and three layers of foam of different densities, including gel foam found in high-quality mattresses. The result: an extremely elegant, extremely comfortable system of components that combines visual appeal with planning ingenuity.
The asymmetric table collection expands your planning possibilities thanks to three table sizes designed to work with sofa modules. The tables can be used as end tables, corner tables, between sofa sections - or simply on their own. The top is carved from solid wood with subtle edge details borrowed from tray tables, while the carved blade-like legs of the solid wood give the piece a muscular lightness.
