Product description

B&B Italia has extensive technological knowledge (e.g. polyurethane injection technology) and uses this information to build its company. Now he has decided to give Mr. Pesce's creation, the UP series, the most appropriate language to express this technology, and to transform it into a piece of contemporary art that can be offered to a wide audience. In 1969, a series of sofas and armchairs called "Serie UP" was released, a total of seven pieces. They were ahead of the times of the design that generated them, as well as the technical procedures used to make them.
Designed in 1969, the Up series was from the very beginning one of the greatest expressions of design thanks to its expressive shapes upholstered in flexible fabric. It consists of seven elements, including the UP5-UP6 armchair and pouffe, an icon of modernity, a metaphor of the female figure, which is equipped with a comfortable womb and yet is a prisoner. And again the UP7 "foot", a sculpture object, an archaeological fragment out of scale, redesigned using modern technology.
