Possibility to choose the color of the seat (Element 1), the color of the lumbar section/armrests (Element 2) and the color of the backrest (Element 3).
Trifidæ is a family of seats consisting of three different armchairs , deriving from one typological and formal source. The small armchair, the high-back armchair and the surrounding lounge chair, composed of three separate parts, share the same triangular form with a central point in the central part, which covers the user's lumbar area and acts as an armrest. The tilt of the three parts of the seats resembles the closing and opening of the petals of flower buds. Regardless of the fact that the small armchair differs from the others in size and form, while the tall and large have the same base and armrest, all three are perceived as adjacent elements of a progressive series. Alternating the backrests of two larger chairs results in a different character of the objects. The use of a built-in backrest provides an introverted, expressive chair that protects the user from the surroundings, while the use of a slim, high backrest results in an open, extroverted personality and use of the chair.
