Possibility to choose the color of the seat (Element 1), the color of the lumbar section/armrests (Element 2) and the color of the backrest (Element 3), in the case of fabric upholstery. Trifidae is a family of seats consisting of three different armchairs that come from one typological and formal origin. The small armchair, the high-backed armchair and the surrounding lounge chair have a specific tripartite structure, they have similar triangular forms growing from the perceived center, which gives them a characteristic floral character. When the chairs are in use, the tilt of their three main structural segments is like opening and closing the petals of a succulent flower. This feature, combined with their distinct trichotomous character and star-shaped shape in perspective view, inspired the botanical title of the series. Although the armchair differs from the others in size and form, and the armchair and lounge chair share the same base and armrest, all three are viewed as adjacent species in geometric sequences. Differences in the backrests in the two larger models give them a fundamentally different character. The wraparound backrest creates an introverted, exclusive, formally expressive chair, shielding the user from immediate context, while the slim, raised backrest suggests a more sociable, less reserved quality and use of the chair.
