Oort is a table lamp made of internally ribbed glass. Just as the OORT cloud is the source of the millions of comet nuclei that illuminate the Firmament, the modular lamp system from which it takes its name is the beginning of an endless series of lighting solutions.
Oort, designed by Jacopo Roda, an engineer who has been a member of the team for many years research and development project FontanaArte, consists of a uniform, flexible light line placed inside a glass cylinder with internal ribs. These tubular elements can generate an endless system of compositions and shapes that can be combined to meet any architectural and aesthetic requirements.
