Mico is a table lamp with diffused light. Metal structure painted black, lampshade made of white opal methacrylate, with a lower lampshade made of sandblasted white methacrylate.
As a result of the cooperation between Marc Sadler and Elio Martinelli, the lamp produced in 2003 reveals its secret color by projecting it onto the curvature of the base.
Mico, a seemingly simple project, signed together with Elio Martinelli, with whom I had the honor to cooperate. A revisit of a classic element of the collection - an opal thermoplastic diffuser with an undercut side strip, decorated with a transparent disc underneath, which is distorted and reflected on the metal base in a kind of suggestive play of mirrors.
