Product description

Bul-Bo Mini is a tabletop version of the iconic Bul-Bo floor lamp designed by Studio Gabetti & Isola in the early 1970s and considered an iconic object in the history of Italian design.

New Bul-Bo Mini, designed by architects Fabrizio Pellegrino and Lodovico Gabetti for Axolight, can be placed in different contexts - on a console in the hall, in a reading corner in the living room, in the waiting room - reproducing real artistic shows. Axolight's research into lighting comfort has resulted in a number of technologically advanced updates, including the addition of an adjustable rotary dial that allows the light to be directed in any direction and the use of an LED source instead of the original filament bulb. However, the materials remain the same: a base made of black eco-leather, filled with marble granules, with a shape resembling an onion or onion - as indicated by its architects-designers. The hinged aluminum base ends with a laser-cut silhouette of the bulb.

With its unique silhouette, the Bul-Bo lamp – now in the new Mini version – not only delivers or fulfills a function: it tells the story of artistic brilliance and high craftsmanship, passed down from generation to generation. First designed between 1968 and 1971 by Gabetti & Isola, it was re-edited by Axolight in 2020 with the introduction of contemporary elements taking into account the philology of the original design and has since been the subject of a revised edition with new materials - Bul-Bo Soft – in cooperation with Loro Piana Interiors, who covered the base – originally made of eco-leather – with Altai fabric made of wool and cashmere in two different color variants.
