There is something of an archetypal luminous object in the Astrèe floor lamp. Like the Little Prince contemplating the stars, Benjamin Graindorge tells us of his pristine globe: "I wanted it to float in the air." Defying the laws of gravity, it is very delicately suspended on a strip in the shape of the number 8, which itself brings to mind the symbol of infinity.
