Product description
BS 5 is a wall lamp. Electricity: CLI - E 14 - MAX 11W - LED or FLUO No cable or switch As an admirer of Alexander Calder, in 1951 Schottlander created the Mantis series of lamps. Movement is an inherent element of Schottlander's entire work: an artist, an engineer and, to a large extent, a handyman. He devised a clever system of counterweights connected to a series of strong and flexible metal rods. The shade is also unique in its kind. Its lights, with their eternal play between balance and disequilibrium, reveal some of the secrets of what we mean by "solidity" and "emptiness". And like his idol's cell phones, they seem to defy the laws of gravity. The fundamental poetry of the object is an invitation to enter a dream world of the most sensibly balanced elegance...
