Valaida Snow was a great trumpet player and singer of the 1930s, probably a pioneer of trumpet players, in addition to being an excellent singer and a famous arranger. Born on June 2, 1905 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she was known as the "Queen of Trumpet and Song", "Woman Louis Armstrong", "Little Louis" and "Lady Louis". A talented and unique vocalist, an exciting vocalist, an attractive, excellent dancer and irresistible performer, popular for her hypnotic scatting and unique charisma. This lamp is a tribute to Valaida's work and career of all the hard-working women who took up men's work, illuminating the light of art, imagination and creativity.
