IP-20Integration design , art and light in architecture have their roots a long time ago, and perhaps that is why lamps gradually ceased to be just an object emitting light, and became a light sculpture giving the product and its surroundings a special personality. Light is so important that any change in an element can change the formal concept of the entire project. The sculpture may appear more or less static, depending on the light received. In the case of DOME, we decided to extract the light from the object, making it a light sculpture designed to receive and emit soft light, a play of shadows and nuances that enrich the space for which they were created. Developing this project with Benedetta allowed us to reflect on the art of lighting, how to reinterpret light and create products with a more artistic approach and a less industrial look. It also allowed us to let ourselves go and do what we really like. These light sculptures are entirely handmade and entirely produced at Bover's headquarters in Barcelona. More than 170 large and small pieces of wood have been cleverly woven together and sewn together one by one to create this puzzle.
