Product description
The chandelier installation designed by the artist and designer Matilde Cassani for FontanaArte tells a very current story of contamination, the unification of similar but opposite elements, the change of identity, tastes and thoughts seemingly opposed but belonging to the same individual; nations and cultures that mix and become one social nucleus, different in origin, but united and therefore extraordinary.
TUTTI is a triumph of opposites represented by a series of hanging silhouettes symbolizing the world of contradictions and contrasts: a religious napkin with the coat of arms of a football team; male and/or female: gender fluidity; skirt and trousers; plastic bottle and fish, to name a few.
“I observe people who, at any given moment, even accidentally, share the same space, the same subway, the same station. They all represent the diversity of individuals: religious orientations, sports passions, cultural and gender tendencies. It is an ark containing everything that man could currently carry into the future. Its elements are old votive offerings of today. They circle around each other, showing their opposite. Chandelier of contradictions. A lamp that draws its color from the home environment in which it is located.” Matilde Cassani
